Seventy-five Ways of Stewardship
Greetings College Hill Members and Friends, the Interpretation and Stewardship Ministry Unit is very pleased to provide the following list of stewardship tips in recognition of our 75 years of faithful stewardship. The number of tips is 75 simply to correspond to the church’s 75th anniversary. You may use it any way that most closely applies to you. We hope that several of the ideas will appeal to you, and doing them will make a meaningful contribution to your stewardship. We would love to hear from you if any particularly enriching and lasting change in the way(s) you view and carry out your God-given stewardship responsibilities. (Here are 5 exs.)
1. Wake up every morning thanking God, and seeking guidance to make the day positive for you and others
2. Choose several Sundays to add $.75 to your offering, or even $7.50 or  $75.00 if that can be reasonably accomplished in your budget
3. Pass the peace to at least one different person each Sunday.
4. Spend some focused time praying and listening for God’s spirit to speak to you about how you can be more authentically obedient to Matthew 25:40
5. Send a card to someone on the prayer list

The College Hill – Harmony Creek Joint Book Group meets Wednesday October 16 at Harmony Creek at 7:30 pm. We will read through Chapter 5 of the Third Reconstruction by Samuel Barber.  Rides from College Hill will leave at 7:00.  We will also discuss thoughts about drafting statements about apologizing for and repairing the damage from America’s racial history.  Contact Stan Hirtle for more information.

Thank You for CROP Walk Support! College Hill Church is again among the leaders in fundraising for the Dayton Area CROP Hunger  Walk that took place on Oct. 6, as we raised $1,371.75 to support Church World Service and the Dayton Foodbank . Among walkers, the intrepid Gladys Turner Finney led the way with $510 raised, followed by Mack Lakes with $195 and Josephine Laury with $100. Other walkers who garnered support included Elveria Brown Goolsby, Donna Moore, Melanie Monzon, Jose' Jones, Jose' and Dylan Vidal, Lee and Neva Benson, and Larry Hollar. College Hill's I&S Committee and the Stewardship offering provided $216.75 to support the entire team. Thank you!  Your contributions bring life-giving help to our area and to people in need around the world.
It is not too late to help. If you wish to contribute, Larry Hollar will accept checks to CWS/CROP or cash through Oct. 27.

College Hill has an e-mail prayer chain called the Prayer Warriors.  If you would like to join the prayer chain contact Elder Pat Townsel at pltowns@msn.com.  For your information, all prayers offered during worship service are added to the e-mail prayer chain.
